Dutch electronics manufacturer Philips announced a range of new gaming screens on October 20, 2022. In marketing, the Dutch are relying on the message that gaming and the right devices are not just for teenagers. That’s in the monitors “for everyone”.
34 inch curved gaming fun
The heart of the new series is the 34M2C7600MV, a 34-inch curved monitor with VA display. The screen has a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels and is capable of HDR 1400. In combination with the mini-LED backlighting with 1,152 light zones, it should be possible to control the contrast and brightness to a high degree. In addition, up to 165 frames per second race across the screen, while Adaptive-Sync ensures a smooth gaming experience. The Philips Evnia 34M2C7600MV will be available from December 2022 for 2,069 euros.
More models will come after Christmas
Philips packs another 34-inch curved screen, the 34M2C8600, with a quantum dot OLED display that displays content at 3440×1440 pixels. The third in the group, the 42M2N8900, is a 42-inch 4K monitor with 3840×2160 pixels and a WOLED panel from LG. The manufacturer also presented a curved 27-inch VA monitor, the 27M2C5500W.
