Kids end 2022 with Boca West Children’s Foundation carnival | will it snow in florida

The Boca West Children’s Foundation recently had a carnival for children in the community.

“The kids had the most wonderful day at the carnival,” said Pam Weinroth, the foundation’s executive director. “We were delighted to be able to provide a really fun day for more than 200 underserved kids who may not experience something like this otherwise.

The children came from the YMCA of South Palm Beach County, YMCA of the Palm Beaches, HomeSafe, Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center’s Special Needs Winter Break Camp, JAFCO, SOS Children’s Village and Place of Hope to Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton.

Rides were a highlight at the carnival at Boca West Country Club.

In addition to 15 rides, two inflatable rides for tots, four game trailers and two concession trailers, the two-hour carnival featured food and refreshments including funnel cakes, snow cones, popcorn and Capri Sun drinks.

Since its inception, the foundation has raised over $16 million to fund specific programs for over 30 charitable organizations. The foundation has fed, clothed, provided medical and dental services, kept abuse shelters open and sent at-risk children to summer camp, among other efforts.

Each year, Boca West Children’s Foundation serves over 9,000 children and its volunteers give 45,000 hours of their time each year to the charities with which the organization works.
