Warming trend underway ahead of annual Georgia-Florida weekend – 104.5 WOKV

Jacksonville, Fl — We’re picking up right where the weekend left off with dry, sunny, mild weather. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says temperatures will be slightly above average, which is 79 degrees.

Today will be sunny and seasonally warm with a high of 81. Night-time lows fall into the mid-50s, then we rebound to 82 degrees on Tuesday.

A few showers try to develop on Wednesday before we dry out again on Thursday. Mornings will be cool in the 50s and 60s and afternoons will hang steady in the lower to mid 80s this week.

The Georgia-Florida matchup looks mainly dry with only an isolated shower.

TROPICS: Low pressure in the Central Atlantic is tracking toward Bermuda. Development doesn’t look likely with this system, but even if it does, it’s not coming to Florida. We’re also tracking low pressure off the east coast of Florida in the Western Atlantic. It will move off to the northeast. It could become subtropical/tropical…but it’s not going to impact us. No local impacts.
